We're Launching Today. Here's What the Final Hours Actually Look Like.

It is 3am in San Antonio and I am still pushing commits.

That is launch day. Not the version they show in the highlight reels , the version where you are squinting at a comparison table making sure the right competitors are listed, checking that the FAQ says 16 sectors instead of 14, and triple-verifying that the Career+ pricing card does not promise features that do not exist yet.

PREPT AI is live today. And I want to write something real about what that means and what we built, because the polished landing page does not capture all of it.

What we actually built

The idea started simple: job seekers are getting filtered out before a human ever sees their name. Resumes rejected by algorithms. Interview nerves killing candidates who are genuinely qualified. Career coaches charging $200 an hour for something that should be accessible to everyone.

So we built two tools.

ATS resume optimizer. Scores your resume against any job description, fills in missing keywords, rewrites your summary, and exports the optimized version.

💰 Salary Negotiation

Enter your offer. Get a specific counter-offer range, a word-for-word script, and three power phrases backed by real compensation data.

🤝 Duo Mode

Invite a coach, mentor, or family member to see your questions in real time and send notes to your screen. Human plus AI support simultaneously.

That is not counting filler word detection, progress tracking, the one-way video coach, cover letter generator, LinkedIn optimizer, or application tracker. It is a full career suite at $12 a month. Final Round AI charges $149 for less.

What the last 24 hours looked like

Yesterday evening

Fixed a JS syntax error that was crashing the entire live coach on load. An extra closing brace. One character was breaking the whole thing.

Late night

Rebuilt the comparison table. We were comparing against Jobscan and Teal , resume tools. Our actual competitors are Final Round AI, LockedIn AI, and InterviewMan. Completely different conversation.

3am

Added the Phone Companion Mode section, animated the Jenn support assistant greeting, bumped the secondary text color because it was blending into the background on dark screens.

This morning

Live. Vercel deployed. CDN propagated. preptai.co is showing the real version.

What I believe about this product

The job market in 2026 is not a level playing field. It never was. Candidates with connections get referrals. Candidates with money get coaches. Candidates who know how to game the ATS get callbacks. Everyone else sends 40 applications and hears nothing.

PREPT AI exists to close that gap. Not to help people fake qualifications they do not have , to help people articulate the qualifications they already have, clearly and confidently, in the 6 seconds a recruiter spends on a resume and the 30 minutes that determine whether they get an offer.

The product is not perfect. There are features on the roadmap that are not built yet. There are edge cases I have not found. The Trustpilot page has no reviews because we launched today.

But the core works. The live coach delivers real answers in under 3 seconds. The resume optimizer finds real keyword gaps. The salary negotiation coach gives real counter-offer ranges. I have tested all of it personally, repeatedly, at 3am, fixing things until they were right.
